Turn Table for spray finshing
Adjustable height rotating table helps when spray finishing projects.

Top and bottom disks are 42-48" diameter  3/4" thick mdf.

Column is made from 1" and 1 & 1/4" threaded pipe.  Pipe comes in ready made lengths from home supply center.

Before cutting disks  find the center point of the 48" x 48" square by drawing lines from corner to corner. Place threaded flange on layout lines and line up holes. Use a center punch or marker to mark hole locations.
Drill 1/8" deep recessed holes with a 3/4" diameter forstner bit at the indicated points.

Drill 5/16" through holes and insert 1/4-20 T-nuts. The T-nuts provide a more secure mounting for the threaded flanges.

Repeat for the second disk.

Turn disks over and screw threaded flanges in place with 1/4-20 screws.
The disk with the 1" diameter threaded flange becomes the top. Screw the 10" length of  1" diameter pipe into the top threaded flange.

Screw a 10" section of the 1 1/4" pipe into the bottom threaded flange. Screw on couplings and pipes as shown on the right.

Insert the 1" pipe into the 1 1/4" diameter pipe as shown on the left.

Your turn table is ready to use.

You adjust the table height by removing sections of the 1 1/4" diameter pipe.

To store the turn table,  unscrew the pipes and roll the top and bottom away.
